Staff Software Engineer at Collective Voice
I am an experienced, self-taught, software engineer that is passionate about improving the lives of other people in the world by maintaining quality and consistency in everything I do. I am driven to achieve the highest standards to help other team members accomplish the task at hand. I am constantly motivated to learn new things. When I’m not changing the world through code, I enjoy volleyball, traveling, woodworking, and the occasional bike ride.
I have experience in the following technologies: Go, Java, AWS, Postgres, Snowflake, MySQL, GIT, Docker, Kubernetes, and PHP.
I work to provide scalable solutions which benefit and drive our business objectives forward into the modern age of technology. I also strive provide mentorship for new employees across various internal applications within our company.
I worked on the backend squad that handled member order transaction processing, member cash back attribution, member payment fulfillment, and maintained a handful of APIs used within the company for various internal tasks like manual order attribution and other reporting/analysis tools. I also worked with various AWS resources to build scalable data pipelines to automate various tasks around network commission attribution.
I worked on the backend engineering team that powers our cash back shopping platform used by multiple clients. Together, we worked to ensure all features were delivered in a timely manner and were performant and scalable to millions of users.
I was responsible for providing technical direction to other team members, as well as oversaw that the code implementation was held to higher quality standards. I organized and executed our project’s release process, ensuring we followed proper steps to achieve continuous deployments.
I worked on a universal shopping cart which gave users a “one-click” experience to purchase offers/products listed on our site without the hassle of going to the respected merchant’s site. I also worked on an internal tool which ingested various merchant offer feeds into our system and pushed out the offer data to all our integrated clients.
We are going to be exploring the new AWS lambda function URLs. These URLs provide direct HTTP(s) endpoints to invoke your functions through either the browser or external clients like cURL, Postman, etc.
